Thomas Ballhausen, born in Vienna in 1975, expert in literature and film studies, freelance writer.He works in an academic capacity at the Filmarchiv Austria and teaches at the University of Vienna.

Numerous literary and scientific publications in collections and journals. Editor for “Literature and Theory”, of the pop culture magazine ‘skug’, freelance contributions on culture to various newspapers and magazines. Editor of the Milena Verlag (Vienna) ‘exquisite corpse’ series on aesthetics, intermediality and modern trends.

Ballhausen has received many awards, including the Reinhard Priessnitz Prize (2006) and the Holfeld Tunzer Prize (2008).
